Gent
We live close to Gent. Gent lies between Brussels and the sea side. Every year, in the week of the 21stof July there is a street festival, apparently the biggest street festival in Europe. The following pictures will give you an idea what's going on in our city during that week. It's one of these things you must experience, hard to explain, so come and see for yourself. And as said before, we have a spare room.
Another major event takes place every 5 years. It's called "de floraliën" and is the biggest flower show in Europe. The region around Gent is quite will known for its florists and greenhouses. The following pictures were taken during the 2005 show. It's unique and a real must for people who love flowers. So maybe you will want to come in 2010. If so, let us know.
