Noël - my travels and my friends

I was born in Ghent in 1947. I have two daughters and 4 grandchildren. Emma, the youngest one was born on exactly the same day as a good friend of mine, Gökhan: the 3^rd of August. My other three grandchildren are Florien, Kasper and Parel. All Flemish names of course.

Ghent is one of the most beautiful cities in Belgium. Every year there is, in the week of the 21^st of July a street festival. Apparently it is the biggest one in Europe. In case you want to see some pictures of our city and its street festival, you just have to click this link.

I am always glad to make new friends and acquaintances, so don't be shy to send me a message. And when you visit the UK, I will gladly show you around Wales where I live and work since March 2009. I have a flat in Pantasaph. The flat is situated in a completely refurbished old convent. The place really has atmosphere.

I am an engineer and I love to travel. If you would like to see some pictures of my travels, just click the links below. In 2009 I spent the summer holidays in Britain. In between the showers it was quite enjoyable. I visited nice places, played cards, had fun but next year I will definitely go somewhere where is the weather is better. Anyway if you want to see pictures of that holiday click the links of the United Kingdom and Wales. In june 2010 I went for a holiday to Morocco and visited Marrakech. I enjoyed it very much. I also lived for about 6 months in Istanbul where I met some wonderful people. Halit, is the guy in the picture with me at the Aya Sophia, is the most wonderful guy I ever met. When you click the link for Turkey you will get some nice pictures of that wonderful city and its surroundings.

My last trip only a few days ago at the end of August 2011 took me to Kaliningrad in Russia. You find pictures when you click the link of Russia.
